Lay Readers Ministry
The LAY READERS’ MINISTRY is made up of people who love God’s Word, love to read it, and desire to share it publicly. We are part of the “GRACE” ministries (Giving the Redeemer Adoration through Celebration Enhancement). 1 Peter 4:10 is our battlecry: Each one should use whatever gift he has recieved to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.
- Ages:
- Age 16 – Adult
- Newcomers welcome!
- Training Provided
- Purpose:
- To glorify God by reading His Word to those assembled for worship
- Qualifications Include:
- Reads God’s Word regularly and seeks to understand it
- Proficient at reading aloud
- Willing to work at becoming comfortable in front of people and in using a microphone
- Responsibilities Include:
- Reads through the Scripture lessons thoroughly in preparation
- Reads the Scripture lessons assigned during the appropriate worship service
- Ideal For:
- Those who love God’s Word and want to share it!
