Angie Svetlik
I have lived in Spring for 19 years and have three children: Jennifer is 21 and will return to UT-Austin upon returning from a semester in Quito, Ecuador; Chris is 18 and a freshman at Georgetown U in Washington D. C., and Max is in the 6th grade. I have been with Resurrection since 2002 and am responsible for church bulletins, announcements, monthly newsletters and other publications. The thing I enjoy most about my work is that it is Christian-themed. Whether I am looking up scriptures for bulletins or searching for Christian graphics, I am constantly reminded of The Lord’s presence.
I enjoy the creative aspect of the work I do, but I also enjoy working with an interesting & fun staff, as well as getting to know the congregation. What a kind & caring group of folks! A primary focus for me is serving the Lord through service & mission projects and I am blessed to be able to participate in projects at Resurrection. I feel that reaching out to others shapes our lives. Giving to others is like giving a gift to myself in that it cultivates compassion, kindness, and sympathy. Winston Churchill said, “You make a living by what you get. You make a life by what you give.”
When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with my kids, taking road trips, getting together with family & friends, and organic gardening (both vegetable & flowers) with a particular interest in antique roses. I enjoy photography, woodworking, pottery, and making crafts. And I very much enjoy serving as Secretary of the SBS Club!
