Ash Wednesday/Lent Services
Beginning Wednesday, February 10th
Ash Wednesday Services will be in the Sanctuary on Wednesday, February 10th at both noon and 7pm. Imposition of the Ashes will be given at both services and childcare will be provided at the 7pm service. Then we will have Wednesday Noon Lent services every Wednesday from February 17th - March 16th. Our Lent sermon series is entitled, "Living Lent, As People of the Resurrection." Each service in this series focuses on a word to consider while living Lent as Easter people. Orders of service by respected preacher Rev. Walt Schoedel highlight the ways in which the passion narratives of Christ take on more significant meaning for us when we see them through the lens of the empty tomb. Each service helps us see that we are always alive in Christ, who died and was raised.

Red Envelope Challenge
Two Sundays, February 14th and 21st
We will have Red Envelopes in the Narthex with a specific amount written on the front, ranging from $5-$150. As you go about purchasing goodies for your loves, slip your change in the envelope and bring it back to church! All of the proceeds will go for our RLC Mission Trips. As the church body, we send these missionaries out beyond our 4 walls, to share the love of Christ and serve others…they are the hands and feet, but WE are the body. None of these trips could happen without our prayers, support and donations. The whole sentiment behind this month is giving to others in acts of love and service. Isn’t that what Christ did? We all know that verse, “ 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 (NIV) Isn’t this what love is all about? Let’s give our lives and love, in service to Him.

CONQUER SERIES for ALL MEN!
For the first time in history, a cinematic teaching series on sexual purity is here to offer men proven principles and practical tools to conquer pornography and other sexual sins. The Conquer Series, a project two years in the making, is a comprehensive discipleship tool hosted by Dr. Ted Roberts, who has for decades helped thousands of men find healing and freedom. This 5-week curriculum lays out biblical strategies, scientific facts and, in military style, teaches men how to use God’s weapons to conquer sexual sin.
Included in each DVD are action-packed reenactments based on Dr. Ted Roberts’ war experience as a Marine fighter pilot in Vietnam. We take a look at the battlefield, examine the bondage that takes place in the mind and study key biblical principles to help men prevail against the enemy.
