"Flat Jesus" Here For You Download Him Today
“Flat Jesus” is a paper doll that children can color and cut out. He can accompany them by foot, by car, by plane, by bus...He can go with them to the pool, to the library, to play outings, to the park, on vacation… He can visit relatives via mail or he can travel digitally! Use your imagination and creativity! When “Flat Jesus” arrives at his destination, photograph and document His adventures. (You might want to make an extra copy of “Flat Jesus” to send to friends and family while keeping this “Flat Jesus” with you and your child this summer.) If you lose “Flat Jesus,” don’t worry! He can be found on our website ChurchThatCares.org, under EVENTS. In August, at Rally Mania Day (August 23rd) we’ll host a “Welcome Home” party for “Flat Jesus!”Throughout the summer, you can post “Flat Jesus” photos on Resurrection Lutheran’s facebook page: facebook.com/ResurrectionLutheranChurchOR email them to email@example.com and she’ll post them. Help us help our kids take “Flat Jesus” on a summer mission to see the great big wonder-filled world that God created!

While George Washington is conducting the struggle against the British Empire, the Continental Congress piddles away time over trivial matters and cannot even begin debating the question of American Independence. The bus leaves the church parking lot at 5pm. Dinner stop in restaurants at Willowbrook Commons area at your expense. Cost is $21/each ($20 ticket and $1 for bus driver’s meal). A flyer with all the details is in the Information Center or call Carolyn Pali 281-355-0090.

“BOND OF BROTHERS”Presented byPastor Walt Waiser, Devoted Man of God, Prayer Warrior
Our presenter this year is Pastor Walt Waiser of Hurst, Texas. Walt served Peace Lutheran, Hurst, for 38+ years. While there, he started a Men’s Fishing Retreat in April 1981. What began with 35 men on Lake Whitney has grown to a fishing and golf and motorcycle gathering of over 200 men on the last weekend of April each year. This gathering sees men of Peace invite friends, brothers, co-workers, etc, so that 30% of the group is from outside Peace.
“This fall with the men of Resurrection and the friends they invite, I will use material from Wes Yoders’ book entitled, Bond of Brothers: Connecting with Other Men beyond Work, Weather, and Sports.”
Walt is blessed to be married 44 years to his fifth grade sweetheart and they have two married daughters and five grandchildren. (Pastor Ric has participated in two of Pastor Walt’s Prayer Retreats in the past and knows we will be blessed as we “bond with this brother”.)
