LAFF Group (Life After Fifty Fellowship) Saturday, May 21, 2016 – South to Galveston
Before the summer crowds take over the Beaches, let’s spend a fun day near the ocean and enjoy a fresh seafood meal. First, a docent-led tour of the new Bryan Museum awaits us. The Bryan museum was originally an orphanage, destroyed in the 1900 storm, but now the Renaissance Revival building has been restored and the interior is strikingly beautiful and strikingly Victorian. The contents of the museum will amaze you as the docent leads us through and tells the story of the orphanage and explains the current collection housed there by museum founder, J. P. Bryan, descendant of Stephen F. Austin. This museum is getting rave reviews and has recently been featured in “Travel Escapes” section of The Houston Chronicle. Leave church 8:30am with a breakfast/rest stop enroute. After the museum tour, lunch at your expense at a popular new Galveston eatery, Shrimp ‘n Stuff - Downtown. Cost of tour and driver’s meal $12/person.
For additional information on any LAFF event, you may contact Carolyn Pali (281-355-0090). Pick up a flyer in the Information Center at church.

Religious freedom in America has been an issue of paramount importance since th founding of this great nation. As the nation has grown and changed, so has the relationship of the federal government with the many religions that comprise the community of faith throughout the land.
This Bible study examines this vital relationship to see what’s working well and how we can improve the rough spots at the intersection of church and state.
All men are welcome to join us at 7:30 – 9:00 AM in the Conference Room. Please feel free to bring someone along, and bring your favorite morning drink.
